The tag PLSM may strike some as being abstract or an attempt to be trendy - it is neither. PLSM is an acronym that stands for Power - Love - Sound Mind.  It is drawn from 2 Timothy 1:7, where Paul directed Timothy - do not cave to fear... 

 

Paul's challenge to young Timothy is neither vague nor humanistic. Paul does not instruct Timothy to "Man Up" or exclusively rely on his human resources. Neither does Paul deny the ways fear creeps into the soul when the task of leadership proves daunting. Instead, he reminds Timothy of the resource of God that was fully available to him and that which is equally and fully available to you and me. 

 

To Timothy, and us, Paul essentially says, you are gifted and graced with Power, Love, and a Sound Mind - PLSM! As such - LEAD and...
